The Borough of Elmwood Park is looking to hire 2 part time Crossing Guards. The pay rate is $16.60 per hour. This position is responsible for escorting children when crossing the street in designated school crossing zones. Applicants must be able to pass a comprehensive background check which includes fingerprinting. The hours applicants would need to be available for work is 8:00am-9am, and 3:00pm-4pm, Monday through Friday. Starting pay is pay is $15.00 per hour. Successful candidates must be pleasant with children and willing to ensure their safety in and around school crossing zones. Must understand the need for timeliness and must be able to maintain self-control under stressful situations without exhibiting negative behaviors.
